ABOUT ALLIE
Allie was born and raised along the Mississippi River in the city of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Following high school, she journeyed down South to Oxford, Mississippi where she enrolled in the University of Mississippi to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting.
While attending Ole Miss, she completed multiple Mississippi Plein Air classes, and spent her summers living out West in Colorado & Wyoming where she learned to paint the vast environments. Her BFA thesis show, “Visceral Terrain” was an introduction to her deep love for abstract landscapes and thickly applied paint.
Immediately following Spring 2015 graduation, Billmeyer ventured to Northern Ohio where she attended Bowling Green State University. There, she continued to explore the physicality of oil paint, color and her interpretation of landscape. She concluded her two years at BGSU with her thesis show "Flora + Fauxna", and graduated with her MFA in 2 Dimensional Studies - Painting/Drawing in May 2017.
Allie is currently living and based out of Colorful Colorado in Fort Collins.
